On 25 May, the pre-approval public participation announcement for the environmental impact assessment of Tongliao Hengxin Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Tongliao Hengxin)’s 20,000 t/a of furfural and 1 million t/a of steam boiler project was published.

- Location: Kailu County Industrial Park, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
- Total investment: USD23.46 million (RMB160 million), of which USD0.68 million (RMB4.66 million) is for environmental protection
- Product plan: 20,000 t/a of furfural and 1 million t/a of saturated steam
- Main raw material: 130,000 t/a of corncobs
- Labor quota: 72 employees
- Working system: Two 12hr shifts per day, 300 working days totaling 7,200 working hours per year
Tongliao Hengxin was established in Jan. 2026 with a registered capital of USD2.93 million (RMB20 million).
