On 27 Apr., 2026, the Tongliao Ecology and Environment Bureau accepted and published the environmental impact report for Tongliao Meihua Bio-technology Co., Ltd. (Tongliao Meihua) ‘s 300,000 t/a of threonine and supporting facilities project.
Project overview
- Nature: New construction
- Location: Horqin District Industrial Park, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
- Total investment: RMB2.23 billion, of which RMB31.36 million is for environmental protection
- Construction content: Build threonine production line, supporting production units, fermentation building, extraction building, finished-product warehouse, nucleotide-residue building, power/steam building, fermentation cooling tower, etc.
- Product plan: 300,000 t/a of threonine, 75,000 t/a of low-content threonine (by-product)
- Main raw material: 480,000 t/a liquid glucose (100% basis)
- Labor quota: 260 employees
- Working system: three 8hr shifts per day, 333 working days totaling 8,000 working hours per year
