On 2 Jul., the environmental protection acceptance monitoring report for the completion of Shandong Jinghong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Shandong Jinghong) ‘s high-performance bio-product flexible production project (Phase II) was published on an environmental protection website.

- Total investment: USD23.49 million (RMB160 million), of which USD0.15 million (RMB1 million) is allocated for environmental protection
- Product plan: 200 t/a of 1% L-astaxanthin and 200 t/a of 0.5% L-astaxanthin
- Process flow: Using glucose, yeast extract, potassium chloride, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate, and other raw materials, astaxanthin is produced through secondary fermentation, evaporation and concentration, spray granulation, cell wall disruption, screening, packaging, and other processes.
- Labor quota: 40 new employees
- Working system: 30 working days totaling 700 working hours per year

The Phase I project passed the company’s independent environmental protection completion acceptance in May 2025, with a product plan of 7,000 t/a of 25% L-arginine, 3,000 t/a of 25% L-tryptophan, and 1,600 t/a of 35% L-histidine.
