Zhoushan Huakang’s Maltodextrin, Non-dairy creamer and Corn Germ Project

On 11 Oct., Zhoushan Municipal Ecology & Environment Bureau approved the environmental impact documents of Zhoushan Huakang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Zhoushan Huakang)’s technical renovation project for processing 100,000 t/a of corn germ and producing 100,000 t/a of maltodextrin and 100,000 t/a of non-dairy creamer.

  • Location: Grain Industrial Park, Dinghai Industrial Zone, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province
  • Total investment: USD59.2 million (RMB420.97 million), of which USD0.75 million (RMB 5.35 million) is for environmental protection
  • Project scale: 100,000 t/a of corn germ, 100,000 t/a of maltodextrin, 100,000 t/a non-dairy creamer
  • Labor quota: 47 employees
  • Working system: three 8hr shifts per day, 300 operating days per year
  • Construction period: 12 months
