On 12 Aug., the environmental impact assessment (EIA) information for Jiangsu Huaijin New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (Jiangsu Huaijin)’s 5,100t/a bio-based material monomers and amino acid series products project was published on relevant websites for the 2nd time.

• Location: Industrial Park, Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province
• Total investment: USD29.45 million (RMB199.99 million)
• Construction content:
  • Utilizing existing workshops to construct the project, with the installation of fermentation tanks, seed tanks, and other equipment.
  • Theanine, serine, and histidine will share production lines; putrescine and the amino acid series will share fermentation section equipment, while putrescine purification will use dedicated equipment.
• Product plan: 1,000 t/a theanine, 1,000 t/a serine, 1,000 t/a histidine, 2,000 t/a putrescine, 100 t/a carnosine
• Main raw materials: Glucose monohydrate, arginine, etc.
• Labor quota: 85 employees
• Working system: three 8hr shifts per day, 350 working days totaling 8,400 working hours per year
• Construction period: 12 months
