According to the environmental acceptance report publicized on 20 Jun., Phase II of 1 million t/a of starch sugars project by Guangzhou Shuangqiao Co., Ltd. (Guangzhou Shuangqiao) has been completed.

- Investment: USD0.2 billion (RMB1.48 billion), of which USD17.5 million (RMB125.5 million) is for environmental protection.
- Product plan: 100,000 t/a of beer syrup, 200,000 t/a of glucose syrup, 600,000 t/a of HFCS
- Key raw material: 1,003,500 t/a of 86% food-grade starch.
- Progress:
- Started construction: Apr. 2020
- Completion: 25 Jul., 2024.
- Commissioning: 26 Jul., 2024 -25 Jul., 2025.
- On-site acceptance monitoring: 13-14 May, 2025.
At present, the 1 million t/a of starch sugars project of Guangzhou Shuangqiao has been completed and put into production with a capacity of 200,000 t/a of beer syrup, 400,000 t/a of glucose syrup and 900,000 t/a of HFCS.
On 4 Jun., the environmental impact report for the technical transformation project of the starch sugar products production line by Shuangqiao (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. (Shuangqiao Guangzhou), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangzhou Shuangqiao, was publicized on an environmental protection platform.

- To utilize various enzymes to convert 335,000 t/a of corn starch into different forms of starch sugars.
- To use the by-product of starch sugar production, known as protein residue, to produce corn sugar residue.
- Labor quota: 40 new employees.
- Working system: Three 8hr shifts per day, 350 working days per year.
- Construction period: 2.5 years
