On 27 Oct., Kokdala Jinhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Kokdala Jinhai) convened a rally under the banner “Unite to Win the Commissioning Battle.” Over 400 employees gathered to herald 600 kt/a of Corn Deep-Processing & Cogeneration Project’s transition into the trial-production phase.
“The rally sounds the final charge before start-up,” said the deputy general manager for production. “Beginning today, we will commission around the clock. External power, instrument air and utilities are already connected. Corn feed-in is slated for mid-November, with full commercial operation targeted for late March 2026. A detailed schedule has been drafted to reach name-plate capacity and performance as quickly as possible.”
Overview of 600 kt/a of Corn Deep-Processing & Cogeneration Project

- Location: West Zone, Economic Development Zone, Kokdala City, 4th Division, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region
- Total investment: RMB 3.712 billion, of which roughly RMB 1 billion is allocated to the captive cogeneration plant
- Product plan: 115,000 t/a of feed-grade minor amino acids, including 50,000 t/a of L-valine, 30,000 t/a of L-isoleucine, 20,000 t/a of L-tryptophan, and 15,000 t/a of L-arginine, together with approximately 242,000 t/a of assorted by-products, specifically: 40,000 t/a of microbial residue, 66,000 t/a of sprayed corn bran, 30,000 t/a of corn gluten meal, 45,000 t/a of corn germ, 11,000 t/a of sugar residue, and 50,000 t/a of organic fertilizer.
Kokdala Jinhai, incorporated in May 2024 with registered capital of RMB 1.215 billion, is 85% owned by Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc. Zhaoqing Guangdong.
