On 8 Oct., the local Ecological Environment Bureau accepted the environmental impact report of Zhucheng Xingmao Corn Developing Co., Ltd. (Zhucheng Xingmao)’s corn deep processing technology transformation project.
Project overview
- Nature: Technical upgrading
- Location: ZhuchengXingmao’s Starch Factory, Xinxing Town, Zhucheng City, Weifang City, Shandong Province
- Total Investment: 3 million (RMB320 million), of which USD2.8 million (RMB20 million) is invested in environmental protection
- Construction content:
- 200 sets of original equipment such as separators, cyclones, and pin mills with relatively low automation levels were eliminated.
- More than 180 sets of equipment such as embryo mills, evaporators, separators, clarifiers, automatic packaging and palletizing systems, automatic control systems, and environmental protection treatment facilities were newly built.
The technical level has been significantly improved.

600,000 t/a corn starch, 1,600,000 t/a starch slurry (unchanged)
- Main raw materials:
1,593,900 t/a corn (unchanged)
- Labor quota: No new employee, adjustment from the existing 580 people
- Work system: 330 days per year
