On 7 Feb., the local authority approved the environmental impact assessment documents for the production project of 3,000 t/a amino acids and derivatives by Hebei New Rayyu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (New Rayyu).

Livzon Ningxia Completed L-phenylalanine Upgrading Project

 

According to the monitoring report publicized on 9 Dec., Livzon Group (Ningxia) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Livzon Ningxia) completed L-phenylalanine production line technical transformation project.

Project overview

  • Nature: Technical transformation
  • Location: Pingluo Industrial Park, Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region
  • Total investment: USD0.65 million (RMB4.70 million)
  • Construction content: The existing L-phenylalanine production line, with a capacity of 13,000 t/a, underwent technical transformation to enable the production of tryptophan and L-isoleucine.
  • Product plan:
    • L-phenylalanine production was maintained for 183 days, the capacity reduced from 13,000 t/a to 9,000 t/a.
    • Tryptophan, L-isoleucine, and L-phenylalanine are produced alternately for 147 days, with three production schemes throughout the year:
      • Producing solely 4,000 t/a of tryptophan;
      • Simultaneously producing 2,000 t/a of tryptophan and 2,000 t/a of L-isoleucine;
      • Producing solely 4,000 t/a of L-isoleucine.
    • Main raw materials: The production of 4,000 t/a of tryptophan requires approximately 23,000 t/a of glucose (purchased).
    • Labor quota: No new employees

On 10 Dec., the environmental impact report for Hangzhou Hetai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Hangzhou Hetai)’s 3,200 t/a of amino acids technical transformation project was accepted and published.

    • Addition of 2,560 t/a new feed additives (1,200 t/a of tryptophan, 640 t/a of isoleucine, 480 t/a of leucine, 240 t/a histidine);
    • 640 t/a food additives (300 t/a of tryptophan, 160 t/a of isoleucine, 120 t/a of leucine, 60 t/a of histidine),
    • while reducing the existing production of feed-grade vitamin B12 by 80 t/a and feed-grade vitamin B2 by 820 t/a.
    • Establishment of a new fermentation research and development line for the development of new additives.
  • Labor quota: 30 new employees
  • Working system: three-8hr-shift per day, 355 working days per year

Shandong Aobo’s food-grade amino acids project

On August 27, the local authority accepted the environmental impact (EI) report form for Shandong Aobo Bio-Tech Co., Ltd. (Shandong Aobo)’s 5,000 t/a food-grade amino acids project.

  • Location: Shandong Aobo Plant, Gaotang Economic Development Zone, China

  • Construction contents: to build an amino acid production line, to produce 5,000 t/a of food-grade amino acids using crude amino acids as raw material.

Shandong Aobo currently has several projects under construction, which includes 5,000 t/a allulose, 5,000 t/a D-glucosamine hydrochloride, 500 t/a amino acids, 300 t/a inositol, 1,000 t/a mannitol, 1,000 t/a oligo-xylo-saccharides, 1,000 t/a astaxanthin, and so on.

Henan Julong’s L-tryptophan technical transformation project

On 30 Sept., the local environment protection bureau accepted and publicized the environmental impact report of Henan Julong Biological Engineering co., Ltd. (Henan Julong)’s L-tryptophan production line technical transformation project.

Project overview Nature: Reconstruction

Address: Henan Julong’s plant, Ruzhou City, Henan Province

Total investment: RMB2.4 million

 

Construction contents: Technical transformation was carried out on the basis of the existing 2000 t/a of L-tryptophan production line, the strain of the production line was replaced, and three new products of L-valine, L-shikimic acid and clostridium butyricum were produced by fermentation process, and storage tanks, mixing tanks, freezers, evaporative condensers, centrifuges, dryers, baking boxes and supporting facilities were added.

 

Product plan: After the completion of the project, the production scale changed from 2,000 t/a L-tryptophan to 135 t/a L-tryptophan, 1,233 t/a L-valine, 150 t/a L-shikimic acid, 474 t/a clostridium butyrate

 

Main raw material: 15,335 t/a liquid glucose (self-produced)

 

Henan Julong has completed several projects, and it takes corn as starting material to produce starch slurry and then 200 t/a L-histidine, 372 t/a L-theanine, 102 t/a D-ribose, 582 t/a adenosine, 753 t/a adenine, 1,250 t/a cytosine, 2,700 t/a L-tryptophan, 4,000 t/a cell protein, 400 t/a L-hydroxyproline, 100 t/a cyclic adenosine, 997 t/a L-alanine, 4,032 t/a n-acetylglucosamine, 960 t/a gamma-aminobutyric acid, 1,037 t/a adenosine, 2,880 t/a vitamin B2.

Construction of production workshops, quality inspection complex building, comprehensive warehouse, auxiliary rooms, environmental protection treatment area, tank area, guard room, firefighting pool and other auxiliary facilities.
