On August 27, the local authority accepted the environmental impact (EI) report form for Shandong Aobo Bio-Tech Co., Ltd. (Shandong Aobo)’s 5,000 t/a food-grade amino acids project.

- Total investment: USD2 million (RMB15 million)
- Construction contents: to build an amino acid production line, to produce 5,000 t/a of food-grade amino acids using crude amino acids as raw material.
- Labor quota: 12 people, 300 working days per year.
Shandong Aobo currently has several projects under construction, which includes 5,000 t/a allulose, 5,000 t/a D-glucosamine hydrochloride, 500 t/a amino acids, 300 t/a inositol, 1,000 t/a mannitol, 1,000 t/a oligo-xylo-saccharides, 1,000 t/a astaxanthin, and so on.
