Nantong Sipeng Completed Bio-based Products Project

On 26 March, the completion environmental-protection acceptance monitoring report for Sipeng Bio-based New Materials (Nantong) Co., Ltd. (Nantong Sipeng)’s kiloton-scale bio-based product production line (1,3-PDO (1,3-propanediol), calcium lactate, vanillin, sialic acid processing project) was published on an environmental platform.

 

Project overview

  • Nature: New construction
  • Location: Rugao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province
  • Total investment: RMB50 million
  • Product plan: 720 t/a of 1,3-propanediol, 940 t/a of calcium lactate, 30 t/a of vanillin, 10 t/a of sialic acid
  • Key raw materials: 1,684 t/a of natural glycerol, 767 t/a of dextrose monohydrate, etc.
  • Labor quota: 30 employees
  • Working system: three 8hr shifts per day, 300 working days totaling 7,200 working hours per year
  • Progress:
    • Approval of EI report: Aug. 2025
    • Started construction: 29 Aug., 2025
    • Completion: Oct. 2025
    • On-site acceptance monitoring: 25-26 Dec., 2025
