According to the completion environmental-protection acceptance monitoring report published on an environmental platform recently, Heilongjiang Yuchuang Biomass Material Co., Ltd. (Heilongjiang Yuchuang) has completed Phase I of the furfuryl alcohol project.

- Total investment: RMB 170 million, of which RMB 8.88 million is for environmental protection
- Construction content: furfural production line and supporting facilities
- Product plan: 10,000 of t/a furfural
- Main raw material: 150,000 t/a corncobs
- Manning: existing 46 personnel
- Work pattern: 330 production days per year, 4-shift/3-rotation system, 8 hours per shift
- Progress:
- Approval of EI report: Apr. 2024
- Started construction: May 2024
- Completion: Jun. 2025
- On-site acceptance monitoring: 22–30 Oct., 2025
Phase II, which would add 10,000 t/a of furfural, 50,000 t/a of furfuryl alcohol and 6,000 t/a of 2-methylfuran production lines together with their supporting facilities, has not yet started construction.
